Sunwave Ocean™

Problem:

Many participants live more than 4km from the ocean, meaning the community most connected to this coastline has, in practice, been cut off from it by distance, lack of transport and inclusive experiential education.

Solution

Inclusive and hands-on environmental education are built into regular programming. A dedicated surf van, currently 83% funded toward its deposit, aims to close the transport gap permanently.

Results

Consistent environmental education participation, and a growing sense of ownership over the coastline among kids who now have direct, regular access to it.
