The Lambert’s Bay Legends Festival is a one-day, high-impact sport and community event in Lambert’s Bay designed to deliver immediate youth engagement, economic stimulus, and social cohesion during the 2025 peak holiday period.

Objective

Lambert’s Bay Legends Festival vision is to use sport as a catalyst for social change, well- being, and economic resilience. Structured sport reduces risk factors linked to substance abuse, inactivity, and mental health decline, while offering mentorship and safe recreation spaces. Direct contribution to public health priorities, & aligned with the Youth Development Framework.

Beach Touch Rugby (U14, U18, Amateur, Women, Pro) and Beach Football tournaments provide formal, organised platforms for competition, giving participants high-level, safe sporting experiences.

The festival is designed as a recurring annual event, with the 2025 edition serving as a foundation for long-term growth. Proceeds from fundraising and vendor fees will be reinvested into Project Sunwave’s youth sport programmes, ensuring ongoing community benefit.interactive sessions, and expert talks on the importance of water conservation and access to clean water.

This event aims to engage the community in a larger movement, raising awareness of the water crisis. Each step taken and every donation made brings us closer to ensuring that more communities have access to clean, safe water.
